They catch nurses stealing Rx drugs from their employers all the time (pain killers, typically) and rarely do they get Fired for a first offense. They "rehab" them on the job, just take away their access to the medicine cabinet for a while. Unless he gets locked up, he won't be getting kicked out of mursing school.

SHOULD KILL A GOOD ONE IN ABOUT THREE YRS. YOU WILL HAVE PLENTY OF SCOUTING TIME . DONT BE TOO HARD ON YOURSELF . MOST ALL HAVE BROKEN A FEW RULES . GOT A TICKET (FIRST/LAST) OVER THE LIMIT DOVE HUNTING BACK IN 1986 . TOLD THE OFFICER THAT I WAS TRUELY SORRY ,BUT 15 BIRDS WOULD NOT FEED MY FAMILY OF FOUR . HE FELT MY PAIN BUT STILL THOUGHT 88 WAS PLAIN GREEDY . I AGREED AND TOLD MY BUDDY TO HECK WITH IT , IT'S TIME FOR DINNER ANYWAYS . AFTER THE 1136 .00 FINE (MONTHLY TAKE HOME WAS ABOUT 600 ) A COLD CHILL WENT DOWN MY BACK IF I SAW ONE . MOMMA WAS NOT HAPPY AND I WAS THROUGH BREAKING THE LAW . QUESTION IS DID YOU LEARN ANYTHING . HANG IN THERE YOU WILL MAKE IT , IF NOT CALL HALEY BARBOUR ! BET THEY CHECK THEM AT THE GOVENORS HUNT .(YEAH RIGHT )

They get fired all of the time. I know the person who does the hiring and firing of all nurses for the largest hospital in Memphis . And 99% of the time charges are filed against such person. What happens with the license is up to the board. And if they are able to keep a license then there is no telling what malpractice insurance will run afterwards. Maybe the hospital you are referring to runs a loose ship and can afford the liability.

Actually, they seem to be Scared of the liability of acknowledging that they had a "bad" nurse on staff, so, to keep it quiet, they try to rehab the nurses. But, I only know of a couple instances of it anyway.

I don't goose hunt so I haven't opened this tread until now. Curiosity finally got me. I think Todd is right. Todd Macko wrote:Personally, I'd be kinda surprised if the thread's author is actually a newbie in hot water with the courts over all those violations. Run with it if you want but it'll all be a monumental waste of your time which ain't no big deal considering we're between seasons. I mean it's been three days and he has not responded back. And how would anyone that ignorant about hunting find this forum? Well I guess it's entertaining though so carry on.

If you are charged with a felony, good luck taking the NCLEX. When I applied to take it 7 years ago, the application stated "Have you ever been charged with a felony." Don't lie, the board hates liars. You may get put on probation and not able to take the exam the 1st or 2nd year out of nursing school. I would do what was advised earlier and lawyer up. Also about the crap about having no money while going to school, BS!! My wife and I went to nursing school together and raised our 4 year old without anyones assistance or the governments help. Also we got pregnant our 4th semester. Both of us had full times jobs and blue cross health insurance. It was tough but we did it. If you got a truck note or any notes at all, you had best get rid of that junk now.

He's not a nurse yet. That's the point. It could possibly be the beginning of the end

From what I remember I think they all got out of the tickets but it was a Hot mess.

Yes it was a dumb mistake. I didn't go goose hunting. I was going to shoot and saw a goose and what would Any of you done when you were 19 years old. You would've shot anything besides a bald eagle. Don't act like You gave a crap about the law when you were 19. Put yourself in my position before you start putting me down
[/quote]
I guarantee that at nineteen me nor any of my friends were running around shooting migratory birds with rifles out of season in someones back yard. I won't say we might not have fudged a dove or two towards someones limit, but we knew the laws regarding everything we killed and it was way before we turned 19. When we went target shooting we didn't shoot every animal that popped up in sight. Maybe some snakes, turtles or frogs, but we definately drew the line way before bald eagles or any game species out of season.
