Made a trip to the coast this weekend to look for new boat launches. Found the Pearlington boat launch. Does anyone have any helpful fishing information about that area? Also does anyone know location for a boat launch in the Mandeville area for fishing the Causeway? Thanks

Hey man pearlington is really good place at times. Really good to me in the winter for trolling. Spring and summer casting is pretty good there too. But you can always hit the mouth and fish heron bay or go thru little lake to the pole cat. Got several options. What ya wanting to fish for?

forester,

How big is your boat? I love to fish that area but most times I'm launching at La France Marina and running across the lake to the Biloxi Marsh. You don't want to make that run unless your boat can handle it.... and on the days when the winds kick up bad, Lake Borgne can make you wish you were in a 60 ft crew boat. That said, it is awesome fishing in the Biloxi Marsh.

Strutbuster,
We usually fish for specs and red fish. We haven't been since September and just looking for a new area to try. I'm really only familiar with cat island and a few of the reefs. A friend of mine mentioned Pearlington but didn't give me much information about where to go. Any information is appreciated. What area do you troll?

Troutman,
I have an 18 ft bay boat. Where is La France Marina? I've launced from a launch around the Silver Slipper one time on Pleasure Street. I am always cautious of the weather if I am crossing much water. My boat motor caught on fire last time we made it to the Biloxi Marsh. BigGrin I found out why the fire estinguisher is mandatory and we got some use out of the air horn too, trying to get someones attention.

Google La France Marina and a map should pop up. Here is the address.

3200 Ansley Road Bay St. Louis, MS 39520

If you are going to fish Pearlington to Rigolets it is probably better to launch in those areas. I prefer to launch at La France when running across Lake Borgne because it is a slightly shorter run from there.
