Since I couldn't find many reviews on here about the boss buck feeders, I'm going to start an active review on one. I picked up one today and will be placing it in the woods tomorrow. I bought the 350# to try out. I touched it up with a little paint. It seems real sturdy and I think it's the perfect height for deer. It's lightweight too. We will see how it goes.

Here's my a few from my first pull. They still seem kind of unsure about it, but I think in around two weeks they'll be eating out of it. Coons are definitely trying to figure it out.

Same night we put it out:

Two days later:

And a few others from this week, notice the coon in one pic already trying to figure out how to climb it:

I switched out 6 All Seasons feeders for the big Boss Buck feeders last month. Filled them this week for the first time and the deer didn't hesitate using them. A couple of the spouts got damp with the heavy rains this week but they sure are easier to clean out. I think they will work out just fine.

Never thought about painting mine, that looks cool. Seems like they like the feeders.

Although it was wet and nasty yesterday, I got the feeder in place. I started out with a mixture of BB2 and corn. Then I added a layer of 70% corn and 30% protein. Then I added a large layer of around 60% corn and 40% protein. I finished up with around 90% protein and 10% corn. I placed a camera over it and will check it in a week or two. More than likely I'll wait two weeks.

You can get them offline for that price, but shipping is expensive. I picked this one up in Greenwood.

Curious to see how it works. Did you put any corn around the base to get them interested?

Yeah I scattered a 5 gallon bucket full around on the ground and directly under it.

Mine have worked great all year. Lot less work now that I donthave to keep a battery charged. Also seems to save corn. Not just spraying it on ground every day. We've got some sharp claws going up our support legs that keep the coons off of them

That looks like the way to go but I can't believe the coons don't jump up and sit there and just shovel it in. They'd be standing in line to get to it on my place. Heck of a price for sure. Can turkeys reach it?

I seriously doubt it.

I love the Boss Buck Feeders but if y’all think you’re going to deter varmints from getting to the feed, just check out these pictures. I don’t think they get that much feed. Trapping around the feeder would work best to curb the critters. This Feeder has “Sharks Teeth” on the legs and on the tubes themselves.

Notice the Squirrel in the Tube.

I have found that if you run a mix of protein and corn, then just run protein, the Squirrels will dig the protein out looking for the corn. Leaving you 3 nice piles of protein pellets under the feeder!

That's the reason I didn't get the shark teeth. I saw on a Texas forum where there were several coons all over a boss buck feeder trying to get to the tubes and the teeth didn't phase them at all.

Looks like that first coon is doin chin-ups! After watching coons AND squirrels jump up to my humminbird feeder that's 68" off the ground, that feeder is a cinch. It's just a matter of how many you have and what else is available. My coons don't like rice bran very much....so far.

I couldn't tell you because I'm only going to use mine for protein feeding but as with any gravitational feeder, it all depends on the number of deer and coons using it.

Looks good. That bb2 is some bad stuff. It's pricey but certainly effective.
