Made a spur of the moment run to horn this afternoon. The ride out was slick as glass And the fish were hungry. Only thing was it was all small schoolie trout. Caught and released well over 100 and managed to get 7 keepers for tomorrows lunch. It was crazy from about 130 till 3 it was a fish on every cast. Top water or a jig it didnt matter there would be a fish on it before you could get the slack out of the line after the cast.

Awesome water conditions for the ride out and lots of fish. Just doesn't get much better than that. Nice photos too.
Had a few like that last weekend at Cat that were there before it hit bottom on the cast. All were good size that came like that though. Small ones are definitely still fun and glad to hear of some numbers coming from Horn even if they are small.

The studs are there. Buddy of my had a cooler full of sure enough hosses. But they were fishing live croakers.
You were on the water, you caught fish, you weren't working.

It doesn't get much better!
Great looking photos and that water was flat as glass. Never seen it that flat at Horn.
Where is a good spot to fish horn? We were on the south side pretty close to the pier last weekend and didn't get a single bite. I want to know how in the **** you guys catch so many fish. Because we're going out there with the same equipment and catching nothing!

Usually you have to find a spot\structure that is not marked or publicized. one of our spots we fished yesterday we caught all 30 in a spot the size of your living room. I think Latimer is fishing the north side of horn.
Nice trip and great photos. That first picture should be a screen saver. That's what we all dream about throughout the year. Bow pointed into slick glass water.

This. The spot i fished the last 2 trips is a bar in chest deep water that is less than 20 yards across on the edge of some grass beds. Move off that bar in either direction and not a bite. Just fish the grass beds on the north side and stay on the move until ya find them.
