Put in at Fort Morgan at about 0630. Tried the Legacy and Exon platforms with no luck. Also tried the shoreline East of Navy cove. The water looked great, but couldn't buy a bite. We just wasn't doing it right. The only guys we talked to at the ramp picked up limits of specs. I need to hire I guide I guess! LOL!

I'm learning the area and saltwater in general. Hope to put some time in in MS waters at the end of this summer and fall.

That's all you do....put in time....reading articles and talking to others, especially the people on here, will point you in the right direction but until you put in the time sometimes it will just feel like your 'doing it wrong'...the good thing about all that is that it's sure fun learning[wink]

It sure is fun!
JMD, my family and I spent the week in Gulf Shores towards Ft Morgan. I fished the surfside before the beach goers got there and caught 7 flounder and missed about the same. It was fun and my wifes family enjoyed some crabmeat stuffed flounder. Gulp swimming Mullet on an 1/8oz slow rolled did the trick. They were right on the beach since high tide was in the am.
