I've been on the forum for a while, but don't post much.
I have learned quite a bit by reading on here.
I have a Carolina Skiff 1980 DLX and am wanting to take my father-in-law,my 10 year old son and my 6 year old son out tomorrow to try for some specks, white trout or really anything that will bite.
Can anybody give me a good idea when I need to launch, where etc...

Thanks for your time.

Around the deer island area is always decent this time of year.
I agree. The rocks behind the Beau would be a good choice.
Fotno,

As for time, check the tides. But, I have been doing my best at first light. I launch before the sun rises and arrive at my first spot just as the sky turns pinkish.
Good luck to you and your family.
Where do you live? How much do you know about the waters? Give us a little more info, so we can be more helpful.

As the Chief said, this is the optimal time. When I fish I'm usually in the water and on my first spot around 6. With all the bait in the area, live bait will improve you're chances. IMO
I live in South Forrest County.
We put in at Gulfport yesterday and fished around the outside of the harbor and around the piers. Then we ran over and fished behind the Beau.Caught a few behind the Beau, but my boys were wanting to ride.
Went over and fished under the biloxi bridge and my boys caught a couple keeper reds.
Mission accomplished.
They enjoyed themselves and we brought a little meat home.

We are planning another trip and will probably put in on the Pascagoula River and work our way around.
Thats always nice to hear the kids had a good time....i live over in Purvis so know how hard it is on you to ride down and get blanked.
