Ms did also. It came out yesterday
True. There are not many in the 3 mile line. And ms wont be writing tickets between 3-9 miles. Just have to watch for the coast guard. But even if there were no snapper in the area it is still a step in the right direction with all the gulf states coming together to fight the feds on this.big difference betwenn al-fl and ms. Their long standing state water boundaries have always held red snapper. Yes..I know some red snapper are caught in ms state waters..but very few legal size. The extended waters ms-la have claimed has not been approved and is being challenged by the feds. Those waters do hold good numbers of red snapper..BUT if you go fish the newly incorporated water and get caught with red snapper...things could get interesting.
Markus and I went searching for lemons one day. We seen 2 at one spot just before dark. We pulled up and started freeline squid in hopes they would hit. But instead we got snapper. 3 would have been legal and this one. But it was late in the year with very little rain. So the salinity was high. I'm in no way disagreeing with you just proud of this catch in 13.5 ft of water.big difference betwenn al-fl and ms. Their long standing state water boundaries have always held red snapper. That sounds like it could turn into a boundary line nightmare if you get stopped in a wrong area. The extended waters ms-la have claimed has not been approved and is being challenged by the feds.
