Are you guys having problems with your crank baits sinking after a little use? I have several that no longer float while idle which causes them to run deeper than normal when pulling. I tried to drain one by drilling a small hole in it but didn't get any water out, it must have two air chambers.

Never had that prob. with any of my bandits
5 that I know for sure, I am going to check all of them tonite. Some stArt out floating ok then after a couple of pulls start sinking.
Bandits

Sounds like the bandits have leaking problems. Maybe put some type of clear sealer on them????? Were they on sale in a bargin bin?
Yeah I agree they are leaking, are they made with a split chamber?when I drilled a hole in the bottom between the hooks, I didn't get any water out. Bought them from the Bandit direct.

I've never seen the inside of a bandit, can't help on that. Maybe open one up and see if it has two chambers?
Crappie, just look at a watermelon or translucient red craw, you can see exactly how they are made.

Oh!...ok thats cool. I've started buying a few berkley flicker shad for $4.99 each.
Hard for me to getaway from the bandits, paying $4.99 for them also
Bandits

The only reason I'm buying the flicker shad is to give the crappie something different to look at. I think just about everyone uses Bandits in Ms.
Bandits are a great crank bait, but so is the Flicker Shad. Another good crank bait is Cabala's Grave Digger, and much cheaper than Bandits, or Flicker Shad.
Good fishing to ya Mr. Goodtime.....
