Pretty neat there. Ever been able to see him from stand or in person?
Videoed him 30 yards from same stand last bow season....pretty cool experience!
Nice pictures. Sure glad I don't hunt where you hunt.
I aint no bear expert by no means, but if he aint knockin' on 400lbs I'll be badly mistakin'! What's ya'll opinion?
Dang at the head on that dude! Awesome pics!
Just what I was thinking, that's a stud! I saw one in south Mississippi two years ago while hunting over crab apples and it was really neat.
But it was nowhere near the size of that one! ha
It seems There's quite a few there. He is a big guy
Yeah....population apparently increasing based on more and more sightings. He is by far the biggest I've ever seen or seen pictures of.

You can bet he is trying to increase the population this time of the year!

Do bears breed seasonally in the south or do they breed year round?
I personally don't know bud, maybe someone else that does will chime in. I know very little about there habits/breeding, just starting to see more and more of them in my area.
That is a big one!!

I wonder if we will ever see a bear season in our lifetime.
From MDWFP:
"Females come into estrus as early as late May and as
late as August with the peak of breeding taking place in
July. Females will remain in estrus until they are bred
or until ovarian follicles begin to deg e n e r a t e .
Dominant males may mate with several females in an
area."
