Was curious if anyone fishes the black creek in DeSoto National Forest. I pass it all the time and was thinking about kayak fishing it. Anyone have any tips/info on fishing it?
I've floated it many times years ago but never fished it. If you go and fish and don't even get a bite, its worth it just for the views and beauty of the area. We floated anywhere from Janice landing to the Fairley Bridge.
I've fished it a lot. Lots of bream and Kentucky spotted bass. Beatle-spins and rooster tails have never failed me. The bass tend to hangout on the downstream side of the stumps and logs.
