It was a brutal spring in the western sound. The salinity hit single digits and stayed that way for a LONG time. It made it difficult to catch speckled trout as they prefer salinity +/- 17ppt to spawn. This forced me out of my comfort zone to learn areas to the east where salinity was higher. It has recovered now, but I’m already looking forward to 2022.

The sharks are thick, we landed this one at link below on a mirrolure the other day. I will take the heat for gaffing a fish I didn’t keep (I was not thinking)
