Join the CCA Mississippi Biloxi Bay Chapter for a great morning of fishing, learning and fun on the water at this year's Casting for Conservation event. Kids will fish on the new Biloxi Bay Fishing Bridge from 8:00 - 10:00 a.m. and then return to the pavilion and splash pad to cool off and have an early lunch.
This is always one of our best events of the year with our partners at the Carl Legett Fishing Tournament and the Department of Marine Resources. Our long time supporters at Killer Bee Bait will have the kids hooked up with all the bait that they need to catch the big one. It's a great way to get the kids involved in the sport that we all love so much!

Yall have fun out there today....or make sure them kids has fun...and post us ALOT of pictures please!!!...
Had it planned to be there right up to about 9 O'clock last night then food pantry business popped up. Heading to the church to take care of it this minute. Hope y'all have a great turn out. This is a good thing y'all are doing.
It's getting bigger and better every year partnering with The Carl Legett!!!

CCA gave out over 400 rod & reels and Casting for Conservation t-shirts to all the kids. Not to mention free bait provided by Killer Bee and other tackle packs. Fed everyone at 10am, DMR joined us and put on a great fish identification / teaching station! Kids also had a blast playing at the splash pad. Thanks to all that volunteered and thanks to the Carl Legett for the support!

I'll post some pics that I took. Parking space ran short on the bridge to give an idea of the turnout, people were parking in the Palace garage and walking out!

Sure hate I ended up missing this one but an obligation to our food pantry wouldn't allow my attendance. The turnout was awesome. Glad the weather cooperated so well. Kudos to all who volunteered.

Where we were there were a zillion finger mullet in a school and tons of tiny pin fish and croakers that kept me busy rebaiting hooks and not taking many pics. Great event put on by CCA and the other sponsors. Took a few pics.

One with a mouth big enough to take the hook too.

She made a friend, they read fishing magazines together.
