Not that I'm tired of hunting Mahannah and Twin Oaks, but I just wanna try somewhere new I haven't been before. Anyone here have any experience on Charles Ray Nix? Looking at the basemap it looks like big open fields with woods surrounding it. Not asking for spots just is there good deer up there worth hunting

U see much difference in 3 or 4 people hunting in a 10 acre block and 3 or 4 people fishing in a 10ac spot?
I will not be back. Went last year and saw 2 deer in 5 days.

Yes there is a huge difference. Apples to oranges my friend. The comment meant that there are more nice people on the fishing forum that are willing to help out there fellow bull members with some information than there are on the hunting forums.

It's not apples to oranges if you consider sharing general fishing info is not nearly as big of a deal compared to public land deer hunting. Several courteous boats can share an area to fish and have success. You can't just pack a bunch of folks into an area hunting on public land and expect to have any sort of decent luck. These guys that have figured out how to hunt these wmas effectively on their own aren't rude or unhelpful just because they won't post to the World Wide Web "yes this wma has great deer hunting". Having said that I know I've seen several posts about the place u asked about and a quick search may yield the info you are looking for. Good luck

You're a special kind of stupid aren't you. Do you know what apples to oranges means? You proved my point exactly. People fishing 10 acres is definitely not the same as people hunting 10 acres. Good luck in life.
I have hunted it a few times. Access is way too easy to suit me. I am 56 yrs. old and breathe only on one lung. I wish they would restrict atv use to deer retrieval only. That place has too many trails they let you come in on.
There is some ignorance goin on in this thread but I don't think it's on urban's end.

Haha! Easy there killa. I think you have misunderstood my post. You are right though you guys from the fishing forum sure are nice! Pull that apple out of your rump and wipe that orange juice out of your eye and re-read my post, maybe spend a little more time thinking on it.

Thanks for the well wishes, good luck to you too.

P.s. I saw a couple helmets on Craigslist you may wanna pick one up before you venture outside again.

A special kind...Thanks for addressing me....I am glad we got to know each other.....Hey we all have our ideas....That don't make us special or stupid or wrong...Get my stupidity....[biggrin]

Just chill everyone....Getting close to some strings going slap....[biggrin]
SO, you expect that if the hunting is great someone is gonna tell you all about it in an open forum in the WWW?? Really?!?! We go through this same crap every year when the WMA permit draws come open. This year is no different than any other year. Here's the truth for you about CRN, it USE to be good hunting before they had to convert it over to a quail management place. Now they've cut way more than 1/2 the trees, left very few mast producing trees, let all the bean and wheat fields grow up thus further depleting the food sources. There simply aren't the number of deer on there that use to be, and the ones that are there are just about unhuntable because it's so dadgum thick. There, that's the honest truth about the place since it's not a positive reply you're getting. If you don't believe me go look for yourself and you'll see it's true.

See, you just told me about the place without telling me a place to hunt. That was all I was asking. I didn't ask for a spot or if the hunting was great, simply is there good deer up that way worth me going to scout as I have never hunted that particular area of the state. And yes, that is what this forum is all about I thought. A community of fellow Mississippians trying to help each other be successful in life. I can't help it if urbanbucks gets confused easily. Maybe he was just born that way.

You are the one that said a bunch of people hunting 10 acres is different than a bunch of people fishing 10 acres, right. Therefore, you proved my point. See the phrase apples to oranges means they arent the same so you cannot compare the two. Get it. Or do I need to type a little slower?
Well someone rolled out of the wrong side of the bed and fell straight on his high horse
If you typed any faster I'm convinced you would hurt yourself. Less type-ee more read-ee for you.

Dern Shetland ponies can be tricky.
