One of my other threads kind of turned to public hunting and some of my misfortunes with other folks. Can anybody tell me if they have any issues with other hunters (ie arguments, flat tires, vandelism etc,) while hunting these areas?

At the closest, Bienville WMA is 20 minutes from me and Caney Creek about 35 minutes. I drove around the 53,000 acres of land yesterday and was pleased to see a few hardwood bottoms scattered among the endless pines. I would hope being a MDWFP property that that sort of thing would be held more in check.
Thanks
Mark

I used to hunt it exclusively but got tired of the local dog hunters driving their trucks off-road and thru the woods. They sit on paved roads and will shoot animals running across other peoples property and across paved roads9 I've witnessed this). I've turned them in to the MDWFP then I'm accused by them of harassment needless to say, get rid of the dog/road hunters and I'd come back. They have even shot deer from the road running across a friends open field while I was there!

Dang.

Note to self...don't hunt there in the dog season.

While I think all of Bienville is open for dog hunting; I think only a portion of Caney Creek is. I looked at the extreme northern parts of Bienville the other day (its closer to where I live) and I saw some spots that looked interesting. That said, I never saw a single deer track crossing the road...and I looked!

If anybody wants a bowhunting buddy in those areas; I'm your guy. I would love to learn more about the place; especially in areas where folks don't act stupid:)
