Here's my issue: I've got a 2 year old lab that is my hunting buddy and all around perfect pet. My fiance is now wanting a dog, but wants something a little smaller.... She really wants a King Charles Cavalier (?). I'm trying to talk her into a springer, ****er, or boykin (mainly so I can use it to do a little bird hunting with...). So, has anyone had any luck buying the wife a dog that you "borrow" occasionally to hunt with (that's not a lab)?

My wife and girls have a Jack Russel that I borrow sometimes to squirel hunt but like Todd Pounds said if I have to call mama and tell her somthing happend to her baby it will be bad.I have a Mountain Cur now.

My wife ruined my Boykin. I'm partly to blame for slacking off on my training regiment, but her not enforcing commands and letting the dog get away with too much was such a headache I finally gave up.
