Family night trip

Decided to take the whole clan to the pier and see what was happening. Got there just at dark abd the water came alive with specks popping on top. Caught a ton of shorts, but the most AWESOME post of this trip was EVERYONE in the clan caught specks tonight. Didn't slay them, but everyone scratched speck off their lists tonight. Too awesome. I'll miss trips like this while I'm overseas, but the trips that we do make as a family mean the world to me. The ladies caught the biggest fish of the night.

Great trip, FW. Glad that your whole family got to get on some trout!
Well at least you have taught them all well and you know they won't starve while you are gone [rofl]

I believe that is more trout than I have caught this year.
Thats awesome.....that last picture in the bunch tells it all, when they all asleep on the way home you know they good night.
[thumbup][thumbup][thumbup]well done dad!

And I'm not sure if your daughter did in fact catch the biggest spec, or if she learned how to long arm it from her father.
It's actually 16"

Awesome trip there! And I would have never thought of a jig like that for trout but makes sense as that looks a lot like a small minnow
Good call on the baits FW. The top and bottom jigs look like glass minnows. I like the last photos the best as well. Good family, good fishing trip, good dad.
Awesome report Bro! I'm always glad to see a family fishing together.

Washington St?
Chief,
Washington street pier. Go west on 90. Towards the slipper. Turn left at the light right after the bay bridge. That is beach blvd. Go toward the slipper on beach blvd and you can't miss it on your left.
I know where it is. I was just asking which pier. :)

Good job with the Family Bro.
I listed that mostly for people not familiar with the location.

Headed out with my oldest boy for round two
Good luck FW. Hope to see some good ones in your next post.
Round two was just as fun with me and my oldest tonight, but the wind was brutal.
We got five.
