Few Flounder

I haven't had a chance lately to go trout fishing, so my daughter and I decide to go floundering the other night. We did pretty good for a few hours and then the water started to get dirty. We gigged these over in the Pascagoula River area few days ago before the rain. Hopefully the water will clear back up soon. We noticed thousands of small white shrimp in the marsh areas. They were so thick that you couldn't see bottom sometimes. It has been awhile since I have seen this much shrimp and bait. Hopefully it is leading up to an awesome fall trout season!

Nice mess right there.
Man that's awesome! As a father of two girls myself, always enjoy seeing fathers spend good quality time with daughters. My girls are still small (1 and 4), but I hope and pray they will always jump in the boat with old dad here [biggrin] Hats off to you sir, and here's wishing y'all many more trips!

Take care,
WM

How long did it take to get em ?
That's a nice catch right there and I know you had fun with your Daughter riding shotgun.
Nice! Cool picture of the flattie laying on the bottom.
I love the fact that my daughter doesn't mind loading up in either one of my boats. If we are out at islands or running the river. It is a special bond with a daughter/daddy to spend quality time together while in a boat fishing or swimming. We enjoy our time together. My daughter has also showed an interest in hunting and has taken up shooting archery with Genesis compound bow. I can't wait to get her in the woods with me this fall. I am so bless to have all 3 of my children active in fishing and hunting! I believe it teaches them ethics and respect.

Giggamon- I got them within few hours, the water was hit and miss and so was the flounder. It took a lot of running around in few areas and I never did establish any certain pattern with them this time.
One more question for you. Were you poling or using a trolling motor? I had looked into building a boat but didn't like either of those options and didn't want to invest in a fan

That what Im trying to figure out a pattern but no luck over here in Bama there also hit and miss and having to cover a lot of ground.
I use a 12' pole with gig to pole the boat.
