I just got my first yak - early Christmas present. I plan on throwing it in my boat this summer and taking it out to the islands as an alternative to wade fishing. Where do you keep your fish in salt water? Stringer or some kind of basket? I'd rather use a basket, but the regular ones probably won't last too long. Does anyone make a rubber/stainless one?

I use a cooler. A 45qt igloo fits perfect on the back of both my yaks but I also have a 36 pack AO softside I’ll use. I personally don’t like stringers but a lot of people use them, me included on my first yak that didn’t have space for a cooler.

Polar bear makes some great bags, especially if you catch the buy one get one deal with a buddy. I can fit 3 slot reds and some trout in my 48 Pack.

After fishing, I put them in a net bag on the water.
