Does anyone know if a 3/8 fuel line is OK for my Yamaha 70? Bidding on a Yamaha Fuel Gas Line 50073790 and got to wondering if it would be OK for my motor.

Just off the top of my head..I would say yes.

I'm using 5/16" line on my 40hp. Using 3/8 on my twin 225hp engines. You will be ok with 3/8" lines. Just make sure your bulb and fittings at tank and engine are for same size line to minimize the chance of a fuel leak.

It comes complete with the fittings. I was a little worried 3/8's may be too big for a 70hp.
Can't seem to find out a definite answer if 5/16 or 3/8 would be best since I am buying new. Most seem to think 3/8 is fine but read one post that claimed the 3/8 over the 5/16 could cause the fuel pump to work harder than necessary.
I haven't a clue, but rational thinking tells me that a small diameter supply would work the pump harder at higher speeds when the suction is greater. But I could prolly be way off base.
I have an 06' f60 Yamaha and have 3/8 from the pick up thru the seperator to the motor have had no problems...

If a 3/8 works OK with your 60 then it should be OK for my 70 even though mine is an older model. Thanks.
