Anyone ever seen any alligators at Sardis or on the old river near Hwy. 7? Me and a friend was jug fishing for cats near Graham Lake and out the corner of my eye i saw something attack one of our jugs... I didn't get a good luck at it but my friend saw the whole thing and swears it was an alligator... Could it of been a gator? or a gar maybe? I've never seen one around there just wanted to know what yall think

There was someone on the old site that set up a game came and got pics of one on a state lake that had one that was farther north than that so I guess its possible. I can't remember where the other one was.

They are up here. They are some down around Malmaison. They range all the way up to Oklahoma.

when i was at school up at ole miss we used to wade fish sardis quite a bit at hurricane landing when the water was up. never saw any gators but did see quite a few cottonmouths...

I saw a HUGE gator in the river, just south of the Hwy. 7 bridge. The one on the game cam was in Potts Camp, which is not far from there.

Me and a few buddies did some duck hunting in some backwaters off of sardis and the old river up around Hwy 7. We never saw any but it looks like sure enough gator country in some of those places. It wouldn't surprise me at all if there were a few hanging out around there.

Saw a six footer with a huge fish in its mouth swim across the Tallahatchie just east of the Highway 7 bridge July 3. Makes me think twice about duck hunting there
