I think this year i'm just going to take my 5 dollar entry fee an go to Louisianna and buy a lottery ticket. I think i woudl have just about as much luck there as i would on the gator drawing. My problem is i can't get no good help from my buddies who are supposedly putting in every year.

My buddies nearly always back out at the last minute and not sign up. I signed up 3 yrs and never got drawn...lol I think I need new buddies if I ever going to get to go. We grabble Yazoo county on public water and there are some big lizards down there. I wonder what the chances are for it being opened to hunting. I would love to have the oppurtunity to draw forWMA land.

That would probably be your best bet. Any pay drawing that does not publish a list of winners apparently has something to hide.

Here is a link to this past seasons structure. Typically you put in for the draw the first 2 weeks in June and the draw is July 1st or so.

You should not have any trouble with that. I try to go each weekend so that is 4 hunts, which means I have to take other folks....on there permit. But there are other guys who will also help you out if you have a permit.

Your chances will increase this year no doubt, no way in heck I wanna do that again, so you got one less drawing against you[biggrin] . I'm glad I got it out of the way, and off of my "bucket list." But gator hunting ain't for me.

It's odd to me too: One of my buddies has been drawn EVERY year and I have YET to be drawn. This is the strangest "random" drawing I've ever seen....
