I just joined and wrote a introduction on the whitetail deer forum.. I have been living on the coast my whole life..grew up deck handing on my dads shrimp boat. I have been working outside the seafood business for twenty years but have owned two shrimp boats during this time.(just for fun). I now own a 21' bayboat and mainly target speckle trout, blackfish, and lemonfish. I generally fish the louisiana marsh for specks, roam between mobile bay and lake borgne for blackfish and anywhere I see one for the lemonfish
. Looking forward to warmer days and less rain..

SJ...I read your reports on the other site... looks like you dialed in on the specks the last couple of weeks..my bayboat has not been out of the yard since end of nov. WE did real good over in the marsh last couple of weeks of november but have not fished since..It has really been a horrible winter for fishing with the COLD and the monsoon rain.I deer hunted more this year than I have in a long time due to the weather and rain. As far as the blackfish go we will probably not see another year like we had last year..It was unreal they were thick. I'm glad the state has put a size and creel limit on them...There were a LOT of blackfish caught last year!!

The fish we have been on has played out some to the point I even went rabbit hunting today instead of fishing. Will be back out looking for them first chance I get though.
