My daughter and I were sitting together in a blind Saturday afternoon watching a young doe feed on acorns. We had been watching this doe feed for about 30 minutes, when she bumped my leg and said "daddy, there's a big buck". This buck walked out of the thicket at 35 yards and she smoked him. The bullet didnt pass through, so there wasn't any blood, but my brother (fedguy 2007) found him about 60 yards away. This is her 6th deer and her biggest, not too bad for just turning 13 about 3 weeks ago.

That's is a great buck. What caliber did she use. I have a 7mm-08 and 300 BLK for the kids. We have killed alot of deer with both calibers but I don't get many pass throughs with the 300 BLK (although if they run we typically find them pretty close). The 7mm-08 has become my favorite gun in the safe the past 10 years.
