Headed to the marsh the last 2 Saturdays with similar results.

6/14

Got to the islands around daybreak and found diving gulls and jumping shrimp in 5 ft of water. Caught and released around 50 11" trout before 6 other boats moved in and staked a claim. Moved to an oyster reef and was able to pick up 10 keepers between 14 and 16 inches. All fish caught on voodoo under a cork (brown shrimp color) or tightlined matrix in several colors.

6/21

Got to the islands around 6:45 and again found undersized trout under the birds. Dad and I released maybe 75 with no keepers. Made the same move to the same oyster reef and was able to pick up 8 nice keepers on the tide change on freelined croaker and voodoo under a cork.

Water both weekends was decently clear in spots but still not as salty as we need.
No numbers but 2 great days on the water. The amount of undersized trout out there is unbelieveable. Hoping to get back out there this weekend, wind willing.

Tight Lines,

We have never seen so many small trout in MS waters as we have this year. Hoping this means a great future ahead.
We can only speculate and hope SJ!
