Only working on the boat in short spurts due to the heat that just seems tougher to cope with more and more as I get older. Got the driver and passenger seats mounted permanently and have started putting some carpet down. Got the floor, the platform the seats sit on and the storage area lid in between the seats carpeted today. Can't really see much of the carpet on the platform the seats sit on but I carpeted it anyways. Have the 2 decks, the two bigger storage area lids, and both the side walls on each side of where the driver and passenger seat area. Since the carpet is temporary until I can have the Hydro-Turf installed that is all I am going to carpet. The two consoles turned out really good where I repainted the top of them.

It's come along way since the pic I sent you from the get go. Great job
Oh yea, she is looking good Jimmy. Lot of sweat equity in that project is paying off now.

I still have the photo you sent me of it. My wife said I had a vision when I towed it home. [biggrin]

Lookin good. I see you kept the seats. Did you lower the base?

I decided to stay with the seats I bought for it. I had 2 other cheaper seats which were less padding = thinner and did sit some lower in the boat. But there was very little difference in height but a tremendous amount of difference in quality and comfort between the cheap seats and the seats I bought for it. It sits ok as is and the new seats are going to relax more with use and then will sit lower in the boat as they do. It was just going to turn into more modification to lower it than I wanted.
Looking good!

You know what will help "relax" those seats and break them in.

Taking a man size man on a few trips... Just saying [rofl]

Thanks for the offer pete but I am going to try and keep the amount of Gafftop slime in it down to a minimum until I get the Hyrda-Turf put in it.[tongue]

Bam!
Man, I am really loving these updates. It is like a documentary, following from the original pic, through the search for the right parts and processes, hearing some of the pains in the renovation, and looking forward to seeing the final, fishable product.

This is just cool. Thank you for the continued sharing.
Why can't the fishing channel do a show called " This Old Boat"?

I'd watch it. I watch "Ship Shape" whenever I see it on.

If you'd like to expedite the seats "relaxing" I'll come sit it 'em and sip coffee while we chat about fishing. We could get another heavy weight and get it done twice as fast!
Looking good SJ. Can't wait to see the boat with some TROUT slime on it...
