6-8 tomatoes. Or 4 14.5 oz cans of Hunts Fire roasted diced tomatoes
1/2 bunch head of cilantro cut off heavy stems
2-3 pieces of garlic, or 2-3 TBSP chopped garlic
1 Vidalia onion
1 bell pepper
4-5 green onions
Juice of 1 1/2 lime ( save other half for your Dos Equiis Beer)
5-6 Serrano peppers
1 TBSP Adobo seasoning/ or Cajun/ or Sea Salt ( your preference)

Peel onions and garlic, remove seeds and stems from peppers

Put ingredients in blender, blend until pieces are about size of a BB or slightly larger

Serve room temp. I like Tostitos round chips, or Santitas chips
Or for healthier use all natural chips and cut back on salt/seasoning

1/4 cup of cut jalapeno peppers (seeds and membrane removed)

salt and pepper to taste
1 can of corn
1 can of black beans
2 cans of diced tomatoes
1 can of tomatoes sauce
1 medium onion diced
1 yellow bell pepper diced
2 jalapenos diced
1 cup of sliced carrots
1 bunch of cilantro chopped
1 ts of black pepper
2 ts of chili powder (not chile powder!)
1 ts of sea salt
1 ts of fresh ground cummin
Toss it all together and let it rest a few hours for the flavors to marry.

If you want a simpler way to do it, Wal Mart has a Salsa mix that you add to your tomatoes. It is in the canning section of the store.
It takes about 3 hours, but it is awesome. Semi Hot!

Of course if you want to add other ingrediants have at it.
Just so you know--cilantro and coriander are the same thing. Got sent back to the grocery store once when I came home and told my wife--"all they had was coriander, they didn't have no cilantro". Stupid grocery store.
This is the best you can make:

2 cans stewed tomatoes
2 limes (juiced)
1/2 onion
1/4 clove garlic
2 jalapeños (remove seeds if don't desire the heat)
Cilantro to taste (I like a lot)
Blend to desire chunkiness

Better after sitting in fridge over nite
... stewed tomatoes...
nothing in good salsa should be cooked, especially the tomatoes.

Should have told him that 4 years ago.
Should have told him that 4 years ago.
I figured I'd let him suffer through sub-par salsa for a while so he'd really appreciate the good stuff.
