Trying to decide between the two. Anyone have anything good or bad to say about either?

I'll never trust an Ole man again.
Been thinking about trying the Ol Man Drone too. About to retire my original multi vision (14 years old). Been a great stand, wish I could find another one, I like the original before they bowed the upper arms out!
I have always used Ol Man but I got a Lone Wolf hand climber last year which is like the flip top except it doesn't have the bar in front. I absolutely love it. The quality is second to none in my opinion and I never had it slip once last year even on water oaks and it packs excellent and is super lightweight (14lbs). The only bad thing in my opinion is the seat isn't nearly as comfortable as an Ol Man.

what happened to make u not trust ol man
Just throwing this out there, I bought a Lone Wolf sit and climb. I wasn't crazy about how the seat functioned, although it was comfortable enough. I bought a Hazmore net seat which is very similar to the Ol Man which I had used for years. I love the stand now. It is so easy to pack and now that it has the mesh seat it is perfect. I added the hip belt and straps from an ALICE pack frame for easy transport. Rock steady on a tree also.

How hard is the hazmore seat to install?
How well would the Lone Wolf Climbers work for a fellow that is 6'5" and about 265? I know the weight limit is fine, but are they wide enough or better suited for smaller guys?

I feel sure you would NOT be comfortable in my LW Sit and Climb. I do believe they make a wide version now, but I would highly recommend trying one out before spending that kind of money. They are great stands, but they aren't made for big guys......

I agree I would definitely try one out first. Mine is about the size of a regular lock-on type stand. You also need to be in pretty good shape for the one like I have because you have to do all the climbing with your arms basically. I let my dad try it who is 6' 3 and about 265lb and he hated it ha
Hazmore seat goes on easy. Just ties together with a bunch of short pre cut small diameter rope. I'm not that big of a guy, 5'10" and 185lbs so not sure how well it would be for a larger frame guy. They are not really meant to be a "lounger" stand either. The best attributes are light weight, easy transport, easy set up, quiet climbing, and quiet platform. They also grip the tree really well. If you need to sneak in an area back a ways from the truck, they are great.
