The thread asking about editing and GoPro prompted me to post this thread. This is a video I made with my GoPro and some still shots this past winter.

The editing software was Corel VideoStudio Pro5. its not that expensive (but its not free either) and it is very user friendly and has tons of affects and cool things you can do. Hope you guys like this.

Cool video...well done going under the power pole! One day I will get me a SW Fly set-up. I've done a lil river trout fly fishing, but have not yet done it in the salt.

Regarding the editing. The effects were all pretty smooth, but not really my cup of tea as far as the style. Mostly the effects offered by the free software will suit me just fine, so prbly not worth paying anything for the program. Fade in, Fade out, one or two other effects to not make transitions so repetitive, drop in stills, drop in text, add music etc. All available in free versions.
Loved it. Double reds on fly rods could get hectic.
Nice! Definitely had to be a little nerve wracking going under the Power Pole. Fly rods aren't cheap.

No they are not and this one was my most expensive. It all happened so fast I didn't have time to try and put the pole up before the fish had already gone around it. But it all worked out in the end and made for a good video on how NOT to fight a fish. [laugh]
Nice video Steve
I have always wanted to do that. Great video
That was really exciting. I could see that there were quite a few reds in that area from the mud swirls all over. I felt as though I were actually there.
Chief if you look close you will see several fish swim by. There were a lot of fish around that day and they were hungry. I think we landed about a dozen each. Numbers wise it was my best day all winter.

Yes Sir, I saw them. It was a weird winter for sure. There were a number of times that I would put myself or a client's bait right in front of them and they would actually swim around it. There were other days where they would come all the way across a channel to investigate the soft "plop" of a weightless market shrimp hitting the water.
In talking with Capt. Ronnie, he stated he had experienced the same thing at times.
