Time is running out to get HB 1298 out of the senate wildlife, fisheries & parks committee... and moved on to the senate floor for a vote!

HB 1298 is the bill to create a 1-month squirrel season in the month of May, with a reduced bag limit of 4 squirrels per day. Here is a link to the actual bill: http://billstatus.ls.state.ms.us/documents/2010/pdf/HB/1200-1299/HB1298PS.pdf

I have contacted all of the members of the Senate Wildlife Committee, as well as my own senator, in support of HB 1298. I encourage you all to do the same.

The Senate Wildlife Committee must act on this bill by Tuesday (March 2) or it will be dead!

Senator contact information can be found by going to: http://billstatus.ls.state.ms.us/

Good deal!

Would be good to contact members of the senate wildlife committee, too. If the committee doesn't pass this bill by Tuesday, the rest of the senate will never get a chance to vote on it. It will be dead.
I sent mine to Senator Gollot. He is the one that has to call it to the floor. He heads the wildlife committee. I was told if he doesn't call it out for a vote it will die. I sent my senators an email too. This is what I was told.
