Ordered me one this morning for my 835 Ulti Mag. Will be about 2 weeks before it arrives. Who shoots with a thumhole stock? Do you like it?

I prefer a thumbhole stock.  I didn't like having to move my hand so much to hit that top tang safety on an 835 though.  Its kind of a trade off on those.

just put the shurshot on my 870. haven't shot it yet but it feels nice!

I have a brand new shursot stock in mossy oak obsession camo for sale in the classifieds now. I like the way it feels.

The problem occurs when you have to shoot one from the other shoulder.

The thumbhole/pistol grip stock was brought 'upon' the turkey world by a writer that hasn't killed that many turkeys.

I put the ShurShot stock on my 1187 and I really do like it, it also helps on recoil.

you can still shoot a pistol grip (or shurshot stock for that matter since several have mentioned them) from the off side. its the thumbhole stocks that would be a problem.

i have one on my competition gun and i absolutely love it!!!!!

I don't like a thumbhole because sometimes the gob will show up on the wrong side and its harder to shoot left handed.
