The halfway point of the year is here, dove season will be here in 60 days, bow season is 3 months away and it finally feels like there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Anything specific you'll start doing in July to prepare? Believe I'll get a few cameras out this week and possibly try to trim a few lanes (as much as possible in triple digit heat). The mineral sites are getting hit hard so I'll probably put a fresh set of goodies on those as well. I also need to get back in form with the bow. Anything else to do in July to get ready for the season.

Yea man. I'm counting the days down. I'm waiting on my new bow to arrive any day now, but I'm gonna start trimming lanes and hanging a few stands here soon. It's bout to hot though, and my rattlesnake population keeps me on edge lol. I'm putting out a few cams out this weekend too.
Prepping my pea patch , freshening up a couple of mineral sights , shooting the bow some . Bout if for now
Freshening up sites, bush hogging , replacing ratchet straps on a few lock ons, I always buy a new cam it's bout that time.
Put cams on mineral sites and clover plots bout 2 weeks back. Gotta do some trimming in a few spots. Also gonna plant some late peas this year and hope they will do the trick come Oct 1.

Still a long way to go and a good bit to do.
Just shooting my bow pretty often and I going to try some 3-blade cut on contact broadheads this year so I've got to learn how to sharpen them which will be a challenge for me ha

Which ones are you going to try? I can get VPA/Snuffer style heads shaving sharp with a file and a leather strop, pretty easily, especially the VPA. I've been thinking of trying some Treesharks, but I'm not sure I have to tools to sharpen those.
I got some of the big 170 grain snuffers. I love my tree sharks and will still have them in my quiver though. All I use on them is a file and then a couple passes through a cheap wheelie sharpener and then strop them and they're good to go.
The Snuffer should be easy for you. If you have a big file just push the head down several times per side, decreasing pressure, then strop.
