The weather is looking good for our Fishing trip this weekend. I will be taking Forrest, My Bro-in-LAw and my Nephew. I will post some pics when we get back in. Hopefully we will have a great trip!!

The oystering situation is almost as retarded as the mdwfp forum closing. They opened the area closest to the Pearl River (St Joe) for two days and then closed it yesterday due to the river rising again. Its a long story but I dont think the people running the DMR really know what they are doing. There is talk of the fisherman uniting to have the ones responsible for the worst season in history terminated. (Among many other issues). I know thats a very long story short but thats the "skinny" on it! Anyways, I am glad we all have a place to go to share our hunting and fishing experiences and to ask questions and such. Glad you are here as well.

5 Nice Wahoo. No Tuna. We got on them fairly early on a rig a distance awy from the lump. I decided to make the long run to the lump for Tuna and we only caught one small King Mackerel the rest of the day. Our first hookup was a triple!! Then we caught 2 singles.

Looking back, we should have kept fishing for Hoo, but I wanted some fresh Tuna. All in all Capatin Andy with Real Peace Charters did a nice job and put us on the fish and we could have stayed on the fish if some knuckle head had decided to stay..

I got ours all steaked up and have vacumm packed part of them. We are still working on it....

Tastes better than Mullet, King Mackerel, and Spanish Makerel.

Tastes like fish to me. Similar to Amberjack.

Awesome!! Wahoo taste great but nothing like some fresh tuna that have never been froze on the grill for about 30 seconds. Thanks for sharing the pic's and the lump has been dead for a while. Were ya'll at WD 143?
