wheat on dove fields

There has always been discussion and tension between state and federal law concerning the amount of wheat you could legally spread on a dove field and remain legal. Mississippi had allowed up to 90 pounds per acre and the MSU extension office had made reference to a bushel and a half per acre.

Mississippi now has a new proposed rule stating that "From February 15 - September 30, milo, grain sorghum, and/or wheat may be evenly broadcast at a rate not to exceed 50 pounds per acre."

If you think for one second there is no way to calculate the pounds per acre, think again. The fellas in charge of enforcement can toss a handy little hulahoop down and count seeds within it, then make a calculation on a per acre basis.

Yes sir. Nothing has changed.
Does this also say ANY feed can be used in above ground covered feeders?

I am also assuming this is a proposed regulation change and not the most current
