Tough to beat their Shrimp Spaghetti too!

I live 3 blocks from the Schooner, good little restaurant! There are some pretty good places in the downtown area that seem to be doing well (Fillin Station - good cheeseburger poboy, Zepplins has good pizza (we get take out often), a lot of people love Half Shell, Rena's Deli, Burger Burger... to name a few). A new little cafe opened on the southeast side of the hospital that I've heard good reports on. Don't remember the name but their beignets are supposed to be awesome. Vudoo Cantina opened near Half Shell (haven't been yet) and a new Sushi Bar has opened right there too.

With the baseball stadium opening next year, hopefully we see even more stuff coming online (and the baseball crowds helping them with some much needed mid-week dinner business)
Voodoo cantina has some awesome BBQ nachos. There duck tacos are pretty ok. Haven't eaten at the sushi place yet. Adventures has some pretty good burgers too.
The burger from the Fillin station is the best burger I have ever had. It is definitely not your traditional burger. It almost more like a fried meatloaf (although that description doesn't sound as good as it is) and its got enough spices on it to make sure you are eating something southern!

I need to try a few of the other places, but Half Shell and Filling station are hard to beat.
Pete, you need to try a burger from the Project Lounge. I agree the Fillin Station is top notch but the Project has been know for their burgers for a long long time! And don't worry about the place... it's safe! I'm sure others on here have been and agree. First timers are a little nervous sometimes. Pretty dang good ribeye steak sandwich too if you can pass up the burger
Been through there a lot but never even knew it was there.

yep..use to hang out in the project back in late 80's early 90's. steak sandwich was the hot item back then. No windows in that tin can for a reason..it was a drinking spot for alot of biloxi's prominent leaders, lawyers, etc.. they would all meet their neices in there for drinks..[cool]
I frequented the Project for quite a while in the few years for Katrina. Nothing like a long burger and a few ****tails after a long shift at work.

One not mentioned in the area...Quality Seafood Deli for lunch. [biggrin]
